Isaac Zinhanga
Isaac’s reinsurance operations expertise transformed various companies’ service delivery to the insurance intermediaries and clients he served within an unprecedented time period. His career started with two years’ experience in short term insurance underwriting before pioneering as head of operations for a Zimbabwean reinsurance entity where he spent six years in charge of operations, business development and technical accounting. He also headed the reinsurance division of an international broking firm for three years before joining First Mutual Reinsurance in August 2018.
His experience leverages on unmatched technical skills underpinned by detailed comprehension of the financial system and excellent communication capabilities. Isaac is a certified Basel III professional who also holds a B. Comm. (Hons) Risk Management and Insurance plus a Master of Science in Finance and Investment, both from National University of Science & Technology
Bongai Muhau
Bongai has more than 15 years of diversified experience and underwriting expertise spanning across the entire insurance industry. He started his career with Aon before joining a leading insurance company in Southern Africa. Prior to joining FM Re, he was the Head of Operations for ZB Reinsurance, formerly Intermarket Reinsurance which was previously the Zimbabwean branch of Hollandia Reinsurance of South Africa where he played a critical role in transforming the company as one of the leading and profitable reinsurance companies in Zimbabwe. His core competencies and skills are in technical reinsurance management, pricing, risk management and insurance risk modelling. His expertise in risk has been instrumental in coming up with an internal and proprietary risk Model for the Botswana market. He has conducted various training programmes in technical reinsurance management across the region.
Bongai is a member of the Solvency II Association, Washington and he is a Certified Solvency II Professional (CSiiPro). He also holds a Masters of Science in Risk Management & Insurance as well as a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Insurance and Risk Management from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST Zimbabwe) and is a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
Douglas Sithole
Douglas Sithole is the Facultative Manager with First Mutual Reinsurance. Douglas is a reinsurance practitioner with well-developed skills and experience in underwriting, claims management and reinsurance business administration. His working experience in the insurance industry spans over 10 years and joined First Mutual Reinsurance in 2006.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the National University of Science & Technology (NUST), Zimbabwe and a Masters of Business Administration degree (MBA) from Midlands State University (MSU), Zimbabwe. He is currently studying towards completion of a Masters Degree in Risk Management and Insurance with NUST and an Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) with the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).
Gasper Mazuru
Gasper Mazuru is a Risk Manager with First Mutual Reinsurance. Gasper joined First Mutual Reinsurance in 2008 as a Risk engineer from an insurance Broker with international operations. He has over 12 years’ experience in Insurance and Risk Management as well as maintenance management in heavy industry operations and the power supply industry. Gasper is internationally recognised and conducts surveys in the Southern African and the East African regions.
Gasper holds Bachelor of Electronic Engineering Honours Degree (NUST).
Iris Ndumo
Iris Ndumo is the Head of Underwriting with First Mutual Reinsurance. Iris has more than 14 years working experience in the insurance and reinsurance market. Prior to her current role which she has held for five years, Iris worked as a Treaties underwriter for four years and as an underwriter for five years with Altfin Insurance Company.
Iris holds an Honours degree in Insurance and Risk Management with National University of Science and Technology (NUST Zimbabwe) and an Executive Masters in Business Management with East and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI).
Chipo Chigavanyika
Chipo Chigavanyika is a Technical Accountant with First Mutual Reinsurance. She joined First Mutual Reinsurance in 2006 as a technical accounting officer. Chipo has 11 years working experience in the reinsurance market.
Chipo holds a Bachelor of Commerce Business Management Honours degree from Midlands State University and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Zimbabwe.
