Mrs Jocelyn M Chaibva is a registered pharmacist with close to 40 years’ experience. Currently she is a community pharmacy owner and has been involved in the regulatory arms of the pharmacy profession. She is currently a committee member of the Pharmacovigilance and Clinical Trials Committee of the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ), current: Vice President of African Pharmaceutical Forum (APF); current Chairperson of Community Pharmacists Association (CPA, formerly RPA (Retail Pharmacists Association) in Zimbabwe, and Patron of Zimbabwe Pharmacy Students Association (ZPSA). She is a former Board member of MCAZ, past-president of the Pharmaceutical Society of Zimbabwe (PSZ) and former Council member of the Pharmacists Council of Zimbabwe, where she sat on various committees during her tenure on these regulatory bodies. She has represented the PSZ on the Council of International Federation of Pharmacists. Mrs Chaibva is actively involved in mentorship of pharmacy students and young pharmacists. She is holder of Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) Degree from University of Zimbabwe, Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy, (Queens University of Belfast, Northern Ireland); MBA, (Herriot Watt University, Edinburgh Business School) and Post-graduate Diploma in Global Health Procurement and Supply Chain Management (Kent University of Public Health in collaboration with Empower School of Health, India).
