Mati joined First Mutual Reinsurance in January 2022 and is responsible for providing overall strategic and operational leadership of all financial functions across the Reinsurance cluster.
Prior to his appointment, he was the First Mutual Group’s Group Finance Executive, having joined in September 2019 from Zimre Holdings Limited where he was the Group Finance Manager.
Mati is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe (ICAZ). He did his articles of clerkship with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Harare, after completing his Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Accounting degree with NUST.
